A 14 year old boy has been charged for trying to burn down the Belize Youth Cadet Corps at mile 21 on the Western Highway. The teen – whose name we can’t release because he is a minor – is alleged to have set the bathroom at the Youth Cadet Corps on fire on Friday morning.
Workers at the Cadet Corps report seeing flames coming from the bathroom around 11:30. They were able to quickly put out the fire with water. The teen was charged with attempted arson today in Family Court. He was released on bail of $3,000. He is due back in court on April 1st.
