A debate anyone? That’s what we were wondering since there’s an election coming up and both mayoral candidates in Belize City are university trained people, who should be skilled in debate skills. But not surprisingly, the challenger Dr. Cecil Chubby Reneau is willing to go at it anytime anyplace, but the incumbent Mayor Moya isn’t so sure.

“While I am very competent to handle any debate, I feel that to have to go through that instead of campaigning, it is not in my best interest. I believe it may be in Mr. Reneau’s best interest so that he can be seen a bit. So it is in his best interest.”
We’re told by party higher ups that there’s some wiggle room in Mayor Moya’s position so we may get to see some kind of public face off......we’ll keep you posted.
