And while police have detained two suspects for the Faber killing, they have yet to make any arrests in connection with the brutal murder of well known dollar taxi driver Antonio Orellana. The taxi man’s body was found exactly two weeks ago in some bushes by mile three off the Western Highway He had been shot and was probably killed on the day he went missing on January twenty eight. Today, CIB officer commanding Julio Valdez told Jacqueline Godwin that they are also looking into the strong possibility that Antonio Orellana was not killed where his body was found.

“That investigation is still being followed as we speak and we are following up any leads, any information we get we follow it up and we are looking for a certain we believe is involved or who maybe can help us. At this point I cannot who that person is but we are looking for a person who we believe was involved in that case.”

When 7News was on the crime scene we noticed that the police had taken a keen interest on a building situated across of the Western Highway. We were also told at the time that police strongly believe that the killing may have occurred somewhere on this property and then the body transported across the highway where it was hid.
Julio Valdez,
“We saw the house there and because of certain items linking to the scene itself to the house and that’s why we looked at the house and we are following what we gathered from the house. So yes, we believe it is all connected; something somewhere between the scene and the house.”

So what assurances the police have for the family?
Julio Valdez,
“Well we’re doing our best and I can rest assure that as soon as we get the concrete evidence and we find the person we’re looking for, we will deal with him.”
There is nothing that suggests anything was stolen from Antonio Orellana. If you have any information that can help in the investigation contact the nearest police station.
