The 22 year old son of Belize Rural Central Area Representative Michael Hutchinson is in jail tonight, after pleading guilty to riding naked on his bicycle through the streets of Ladyville in broad daylight.
Yesterday morning at 11:00, PC Dorian Chee saw Andre Hutchinson riding fully naked towards Woodpecker Street. He was charged with exposing his person in public and today he appeared before Senior Magistrate Dorothy Flowers where he pleaded guilty. He was unrepresented and Senior Magistrate Dorothy Flowers fineed him $200 of which he has until April 30 to pay.
And with that, he would have gotten to go home but Hutchinson has an outstanding fine and because he could not pay it immediately, he was remanded to the Hattieville Prison until he can do so.
It is of note that this morning while he was at the KHMH, he was soundly beaten by police. That’s the accusation being made by no less than Senator Juliet Thimbriel who told us she was disgusted by what she saw as brutality for the sake of it. She this afternoon made a complaint to the Internal Affairs Department.
