Last night we told you about Juan Noe Suchite, the Melchor resident who was found dead on the banks of the Mopan River on Tuesday afternoon with a loaded 38 pistol tied around his neck. Police say he was the same man who killed Jesus Ponce on Monday night inside Rosy’s Store in Benque Viejo Town. That happened during an armed robbery that netted the gunman a paltry thirty dollars.
So how did the gunman end up dead just a few hours later? Well, a post mortem has that was done today established that shows twenty two year old Juan Noe Suchite drowned. As simple as that....police believe that as their suspect was running away he slipped, dropped and knocked his head that caused the injury above the eye and their suspect to lose consciousness and drown in the river that lies between Benque and Melchor.
Police believe that it likely happened on Monday night after he was fleeing the scene of the crime where he was pursued by neighbours.
