Desmond Kerr's Body Recovered from Belize Old River

The search for Desmond Kerr’s body ended at 3:30 this morning when his body was found floating in the Belize Old River. It was at a location two miles from where he went missing on Tuesday afternoon in the village of Bainton Bank. Residents who saw the body tell us that it was an advanced state of decomposition.

Kerr – who was under the influence of alcohol – jumped into the river on Tuesday afternoon and attempted a 20 foot swim across it. He never made it. Teams from the Coast Guard searched Tuesday and the entire day yesterday.
