There were two murders followed by arson in the Cayo District in three days – but tonight, there are no arrests in either case. There’s also no arrest in the car jacking of 56 year old taxi driver Manuel Saquel. On Tuesday night, he was stopped by a stranger at CP Gas Station in San Igancio and the man asked to be taken to Spanish Lookout. Saquel had to pick up his daughter and then they headed out. But more than halfway there near the BNE Compound the man told Saquel he wanted to stop for a bathroom break. But when they got out the car, he took out a firearm and fired a single shot in the air, then ordered both Saquel and his daughter out of the car. He then took the wheel and drove off.
