22 year old Darrington Lauriano is back at the place where he has spent the last five years – jail. As we first reported on Wednesday, exactly one week after his murder acquittal and release Lauriano was accused of two armed robberies committed on the same street and just minutes apart on Tuesday night. He is accused of stealing Delvin Palacio’s wristwatch and Pamela Gabourel’s cell phone. Both items were found on him when police arrested him on Tuesday night.
In court this morning, Lauriano told Magistrate Rachel Montejo that he didn’t participate in an ID parade because he picture was on the news before it was conducted. But that still didn’t earn him a get out of jail free card. He was remanded to the Hattieville Prison until July 4th.
Darrington Lauriano was only 17 when he was charged for the murder of Kareem Butchie Broaster in 2004. He was acquitted after two trials. He recently pled guilty to a wounding charge for a stabbing that occurred while in prison. He had fined $500 and released.
