Tonight Belmopan Police still don’t know the identity of the man they found dead yesterday on the Mount Pleasant Heights Road. They do however know that murder was the case. A post mortem performed on the site this morning by pathologist Dr. Mario Estradabran certified that the man was chopped to death. His chopping murder also explains why his two hands were missing. He also had an injury to his abdomen.

Police believe the murder weapon was a machete found next to him and that he was killed three days ago. Police don’t know who killed him but more importantly – they don’t know is his identity. He doesn’t fit the description of any missing person in the area. The man is of Hispanic or Mayan descent, he is believed to be an adult. He was shirtless but had on jeans pants and black shoes.

Anyone who may know the identity of the murder victim is asked to contact the nearest police station.
