58 year old Marvin Bood is in lockdown tonight at the Queen’s Street Police Station but he could have been spending the night at the Hattieville Prison. That is because today he was charged with two counts of attempted murder, 2 counts of aggravated assault and one count of damage to property. On July 31st, Bood shot at a Mercedes Benz with his licensed.22 rifle. Lloyd Beet and Moushen Ramal were inside the 1983 Mercedes Benz and had driven into his yard in Crooked Tree Village at high speed. His daughter Gina Bood says her father was only defending himself.

“The people, they came in with the vehicle on our property, reversed in all the way, jumped out of the vehicle, they attacked my nephew but he had
a bicycle and the bicycle was really damaged. We took it to the police station to let them see and my nephew he managed to escape and he run upstairs to my father and that is when my father came out to speak to the guys but they didn’t want to have any conversation. They just came out of the vehicle. One came out of the vehicle with the machete and when they realized that my father had a gun and he fired the shot in the air they ran back to their vehicle. But instead of leaving they came towards him, like they were going to come run him over with the vehicle. So he started to fire shots at the vehicle.”

Gina Bood,
“I say it is self-defense. Anybody I think would have done the same thing. This is ridiculous and also he is a very sickly person and I think it is very wrong what the police, I say it is the police. I say it is Mr. Henderson. I think it is wrong. I would like him to know I think it is wrong what he is doing to my family.”
Bood was remanded to prison but an emergency bail application will be made tomorrow by his attorney Arthur Saldivar. Given his medical condition, he was kept at the Queen’s Street Station pending that application. He was also charged with two counts of aggravated assault and one count of damage to property.
