There was an accident this afternoon near the corner of Vernon Street and West Collet Canal. It was a minor accident but it created major problems during the lunch hour for drivers in the area. A motorcycle driven by Anthony Arnold crashed into a black Isuzu Rodeo driven by a Chinese store owner. Sharmaine Slusher saw it unfold.

“The dude on the motorcycle, he was coming in the right way and then the chiney dude he came to try and turn in his drive way but he didn’t have on a blinker or nothing and the dude kept going like everybody else was and smashed into the man and then broke up the man’s legs.
The man on the motorcycle was in right because then if the chiney dude would have put on his blinkers, then that is why they need to enforce the law, you understand. Seatbelts and put on your blinkers when you are going to turn left or right because an accident like that wouldn’t have happened.”
Anthony Arnold’s leg was broken. Police arrived on the accident after we did and are investigating.
