Former PUP City Councillor Darrell Carter spent last night at the Hattieville Prison. The former politician who owns carter’s upholstery at the corner of Cemetery Road and Elston Kerr Street was locked down on the strength of 2 commitment warrants of 6 weeks each. Carter owed the Social Security Board $2,487.29 in one instance and $1,028.10 in the other. He had originally owed $2,987.29 and $3,087.29 respectively. He did make payments of $500 towards the first amount and $2,059.19 towards the second. The monies were owed to the Social Security Board from 2005. Judgement was passed against him in 2007. Carter is reportedly out tonight because he paid the outstanding amounts.
