And it shook most for Anthony Longsworth. He lives in the ground floor home 8 feet away from where the grenade exploded – the home we just showed you with the shattered louvers. He’s Andre Trapp’s Uncle and told us today he believes they wanted the grenade to go into his house.
Anthony Longsworth,
“Well I think somebody came right across from the field and throw a grenade. The grenade knocked on the fence. They missed their target. The way how they grenade came from, the angle it came from, it came from across the field and that is a coward throw. Whoever throw the grenade, they are a coward. And they are not only a coward, they are an idiot because pickney could have been in here. The grenade could have come inside here and it really is unfair what they do because if they have rivalry with my nephew, it is not all of us they have rivalry with. So it is really abstract what they did.”
Jules Vasquez,
“Do you think they throw it against this or throw upstairs or what?”
Anthony Longsworth,
“I think their intention was to throw it in here.”
Jules Vasquez,
“In through the window?”
Anthony Longsworth,
“Yes.”
Jules Vasquez,
“Sir so how you continue to live here knowing that, how will you handle yourself?”
Anthony Longsworth,
“We always have to be on the alert because they will can’t come with simpleness again that easy. They will have to come good. Whosoever did it, they don’t have no kind of mind because everybody has family and nobody wouldn’t like for you to do their family that thing.”
Longsworth says he plans to sleep at the same residence as usual tonight. The Opposition has also issued a statement on the grenade blast. It says that the Leader of the Opposition calls on the Prime Minster first to ask the British government to assist with equipment and training to combat urban terrorism and second to immediately ask the Minister of National Security to step down from his position as Minister of National Security.
