On Monday, 18 year old Gwen Lizarraga High School student Mark Usher Jr. was charged for the stabbing of 20 year old Geovanni Abraham last Wednesday night. Usher’s family told our court reporter that he stabbed Abraham in self-defense because Jeovanni and his father George Abraham were trying to abduct him. Well not so fast says George Abraham. He today told us that is not the whole story. He alleges that Usher was in an earlier altercation with a cousin. George Abraham says that he and Jeovanni went to Faber’s Road to find out what happened and that is when Mark Usher attacked Geovanni.
George Abraham, Father of Stabbing Victim
“My son that got stabbed opened the door and all my son said to the guy was that this was 2010 and to get a job relax unu self and he turned his back. It is his own brother who hollered and this guy just walked into him and stabbed him and run. There was no scuffle or no kind of argument with those two so what he is saying is a lie.
I just want to make it clear to the public and everybody: George Abraham from one end of Faber’s Road to the next end, everybody knows George Abraham. How I could kidnap somebody when his brother was there, his cousin was there, his auntie lives right on the next side, his friends and his whole group of posse he hangs out with where by a car sitting down at the back in the same area. Everybody knows my car. How in the world I will try and kidnap him? He is using that story there to cover his act when he has already stabbed my son.”
Abraham says the incident was captured on video and he will use it at trial. Mark Usher was released on bail of $5,000 and is due to reappear in court on March 4th.
