And while police look for the killers in those cases, today two more accused murderers walked out of the courtroom as free men. Twenty four year old Gilbert Martinez and twenty one year old Nelson Martinez were charged for the killing of twenty eight year old Windell Allen. But today when the brothers appeared before Justice Troadio Gonzales Crown Counsel Elizabeth Purcell entered a nolle pros indicating that the prosecution cannot proceed. And according to court reports the reason why the prosecution could not proceed with the case is because the two main witnesses Natisha Dennison and Denfield Tasher could not be located. Initially there were three eyewitnesses but the third person Stephen “Eggie” Grant was shot and killed in June of 2009.

The Martinez brothers were arrested and charged in connection with the murder of Windell Allen who was shot in the left side of his face around seven thirty on the night of March twenty third,2008. The allegations are that Stephen Grant and Denfield Tasher were along with Windell Allen when he was shot. Allen died the following day at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital. It was alleged that Gilbert and nelson Martinez went to Armadillo Street where they got into an argument with Windell Allen and his friends – and they later returned to kill him.

Gilbert Martinez was represented by attorney Nigel Ebanks and Nelson Martinez was represented by Attorney Ernest Staine.
