Twenty two year old Telswin Lara, one of three persons who allegedly robbed two minors of their bicycles at gunpoint, apparently was not satisfied that he was in deep trouble. After he was put in the holding cell at the Magistrate’s Court, and remanded to prison on charges of two counts of robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery, Lara allegedly robbed a fellow inmate, Alex Rojas, of twenty dollars, and then returned fifteen dollars. For that, Lara who was remanded until May 7th is expected to be charged with another count of robbery when he returns to court.
And while that’s bad enough what he was in court for in the first place is pretty terrible in itself. Around 4 P.M. on Thursday, February 25th. Thirteen year old Robert Lalin, Jr., his brothers, 12 year old Ludwing and 9 year old Wilson, along with a friend, 12 year old Kirk Morris were at the corner of Faber’s Road and Central American Boulevard, when they encountered their assailants.
Robert was riding a red Beach Cruiser, while Ludwing was riding Wilson on the crossbar of his beach cruiser bicycle, and Morris was walking alongside them. Robert reported to the police that three persons approached them and one of the culprits put a pistol to 12 year old Ludwings’ head and ordered him to get off his bicycle. Ludwing did as he was told and one of the culprits jumped on his bicycle and rode away.
13 year old Roberts said the gunman then pointed his pistol at him and relieved him of his bicycle and rode away on it. The police reported that when they detained Lara, they also retrieved Robert’s bicycle. The other two suspects are still at large.

Martinez wasn’t about to give in so easily, and he grabbed his assailant’s hand. While they struggled, the assailant used his free hand to pull a sharp object from his pocket and stabbed Martinez in the neck. He left him there bleeding and fled without stealing anything.
Martinez was rushed to the hospital where but authorities there could not be reached for comment.
