Taylor Alley Teen Charged for Cosmetic Corner Robbery

Police have charged 18 year old Michael Malic for Monday night’s armed robbery at Cosmetic Corner on Orange Walk.

As we reported, the store’s owner Suresh Gurnani says that at around 8:15 - two men entered the store. He says one pointed a point 38 revolver at him while the other jumped over the counter and stole $500 from the cash register. The men then fled. The entire thing was caught on security camera.

Police tracked down Malic who lives not too far away in Taylor’s Alley. Today in court Malic pleaded not guilty. Magistrate Kathleen Lewis told him she couldn’t offer him bail because the offense involved a firearm. He was remanded to prison until April 29th. Police are searching for the second suspect.
