He has already been charged twice for possession of a false document and today 41 year old Orion Paul Vernon was charged a third time for a similar offence. Police say that on March 8th they searched a room Vernon rented at the Golden Tree Hotel on Coney Drive and allegedly found three Atlantic Bank checks – two were blank and the third was written out to Belize Food Supply for $53,000. In the room police also found a driver’s license for Mark Moore which they also believe was a forgery.
Vernon was charged today in court two counts of possession of a false document and uttering a false document. He pleaded not guilty. The prosecutor objected to bail since Vernon has charges pending for the same offense in Belize City and San Pedro. But his attorney Dickie Bradley convinced Magistrate Ed Usher to grant Vernon bail which he did in the amount of $5,000. His case was adjourned to May 7th.
Vernon however wasn’t free to go home since when he was earlier arraigned in the San Pedro Magistrate’s Court for a similar offense, he was denied bail.
