On Tuesday we told you about thirty thousand suspected pseudo ephedrine pills that the Customs Department had intercepted at the airport. Well, the week is done, but no one has been charged – and up to the end of business today, Customs had still not confirmed that it was pseudo ephedrine.

According to our reports, there’s a holdup at the Forensics Department – which has to perform the chemical tests to confirm that the pills contain pseudo-ephedrine and in what concentration. And until that can be confirmed, no one can be charged. But if it is confirmed, Customs is confident that they have enough evidence to bring charges against a known pharmaceutical company to which the package was addressed.
