The village of Cristo Rey is in mourning after a tragic road accident yesterday morning, took the lives of two of their young residents. It’s a double tragedy for the Villatoro family whose sons 22 yr old Henry, a cashier at the Princess Casino, and 17 year old Dennis both lost their lives.
According to police reports, the older brother Henry was rushing his younger brother Dennis to the hospital in Corozal, when he lost control of the Saturn car he was driving, a mile short of the Village of Patchakan. The vehicle flipped and Henry was flung 35 feet from the vehicle into a nearby cane field. His younger brother received injuries to his upper right arm and back. The brothers were taken to the KHMH, where they were both pronounced dead on arrival.
