BDF Corporal Jareth Tablada was shot at 10 times after he caught into a fight at Kevin’s Bar on Cemetery Road early Friday morning. And now, police have arrested the man who allegedly shot at him. 26 year old Clarence Williams Grant, a fisherman of Taylor’s Alley was charged with aggravated assault when he appeared in Magistrate’s Court today. He pleaded not guilty but was remanded because it is a firearm offence.
The Corporal told police that he got into a fight at the bar and punched down the man. Shortly after, he says Grant told him that he had punched a “gunman’s” brother and then went into Taylor’s Alley. Shortly after he returned with another man who allegedly fired 5 shots at the soldier. All of them missed as he hid behind a post in the bar. Tablada says the gunman then handed Grant the gun and he opened fire, but those shots also missed.
