As is the case on any Friday payday - the city was bustling this afternoon. It was no different at the southern foot of the Belchina bridge. But the combustion of people cutting about on their Friday business was interrupted by the sound of gunshots at the Texaco Belchina station. Luckily no one was hurt, but gunshots fired wildly at the height of the day put a fright into pedestrians and motorists.

This popular gas station has been the site of repeated armed robberies - but after viewing the security tape - no one was certain whether today's shooting was an attempted robbery or an attempted murder.

Here's what we saw.

Texaco Gas Station was the target again for the 4th time since February or were they? Police think this man may have had something to do with it or maybe he may have been the target. Look at the top of the frame and you will see two men on bikes entering. One is white and one in a dark color. They circle the pump and start firing the attendant dives and then dashed off. The one in the brown shirt is firing while the one in white comes around and then also runs. They jump on their bicycles and then head off in opposite directions and then change their minds and turned around while the other one in brown also dropped his gun. Looking at it again it took only 22 seconds to play out and the only conclusion that can be drawn is luckily very luckily the gun men seems confused and no one was hurt but it was a great scare at least one shot was fired and probably a bystander ran straight out of his/her slippers

That man detained by police was filling up at the gas station. At this point, police and the gas station attendants still aren't sure if it was a botched robbery attempt or if the shooters were aiming at someone else.
