

It made big news back in September when five men were caught by police on Calle al Mar; police information suggested that they were going equipped to kidnap someone in the King's Park area.
Well, it's news again tonight because the charges were dismissed. The charges of keeping a firearm and ammunition without a gun license against Jeffrey Flowers, Tylon Tillett, Roberto Gilharry, Stephen Flowers and Charles Young Jr. were dismissed today.
Magistrate Albert Hoare dismissed the charges because the case was set for trial today and although the prosecution's witnesses were present the prosecution did not want to proceed with the trial.
But before any of the five could get out of the courtroom they were detained by the police. the police say they are going to re arrest the five and re-charge them.
On September 17th, 2010. The police reported that they pursued a car and caught up with it when it down a dead end road off Calle Del Mar Street.
According to the police, Jeffrey Flowers got out of the car and they saw him throw an object over a zinc fence. The police reported that when they retrieved the object it was a 9 millimeter pistol with 12 rounds of ammunition in its magazine. At the time four other men besides Flowers were in the car.
