Dinesh Kumar Jain, Ambassador of India to Belize

"My last visit was some months ago and it is my job to keep in touch with the government of Belize, so I come here to have meetings with some of your senior leaders and senior persons in the government and to meet the people also including planning a visit to southern Belize for the first time - I am going to Punta Gorda to meet people there and I am going to Belmopan and I am here in Belize City, so I will try to meet as many people as I can different sections of the society and the government. India is willing to play a role to the extent and the priorities of the government of Belize. We are a large developing country but over this six decades or more since our independence we have acquired certain expertise in various areas like in information technology and other areas and our policy has been to try to share them with other developing countries around the world and certainly developing country like Belize. We have a very open policy about these things but we do not try to impose our differences anywhere, it has to be according to your priorities, you policies, your requirements which only you know best. We come here as a partner and we would do what Belize wants to the extent it is in our capacity."

The Ambassador will be leaving on the 21st of December.
