Burnt Boat Update

On Friday's newscast we reported about a trawler boat that was on fire at the Moho Caye Landing boat dock behind West Landivar. Well police are calling it a case of arson - after the boat owner - Cleveland Davis went into the police station to make a report.

Davis told police that at 3:44 on Friday evening, he found his vessel Pampas on fire. According to him he was on his boat around 6:30 that same day and said he left everything in good condition. The vessel was valued at seventy five thousand dollars. It was partially burnt and the damages are estimated at thirty thousand dollars. Seven News spoke to several boat owners on Friday- who told us that it was not the first time boats that dock in the area have been sabotaged.
