On Friday evening, a 17 year old and a 34 year old were killed on Vernon Street when a pair of gunmen let off with as much as 20 rounds. Today, one of the men who police say pulled the trigger was arraigned in court. He is 20 year old Charles Young, a marine mechanic.
When he appeared in the #1 court this afternoon, he was charged with the murders of Daniel Puerto and Ian Martinez. Young was also charged with the attempted murder dangerous harm and use of deadly means of harm of Darnell Puerto, Daniel's twin brother.
According to sources, Young had a feud with the Puerto brothers two weeks ago and that was the motive for the murder. Mechanic Ian Martinez was simply at the wrong place at the wrong time because he had gone to drop off a vehicle and his two year old was in his car when he was gunned down.

It should be noted that Charles Young - along with Jeffrey Flowers - was recently freed of firearm and ammunition charges and he has other cases for which trial is pending.
A second person is being sought by police…..
