Schools have become a favorite target for heartless burglars…….and one primary school that's become a favorite is Queen's Square Anglican Primary School.

Last night for the third time in less than two months, thieves broke into both the Principal's office and the Computer Lab.

And this time, in a new twist, the thieves left a sinister message.

After 2 break-ins the school's Vice-Principal says last night's incident didn't come as too much of a surprise.

Vice Principal: Shilpa Jones
"This morning when we came to school while coming to the approach, we noticed that the computer lab and the office doors were opened. When we came in closer we saw that the computer was broken into along with the schools' main office. "

Jim McFadzean
"The fact that the school had been broken into several times before probably didn't come as too much of a shock for you all."

Vice Principal: Shilpa Jones

"No it's not a shock and it's for that reason that we are here because we are appealing to the public, to our community, to please keep an eye out for our school. I mean, some of the same students that live around this community go to this school and when we come and find situations where the school has been broken into, it traumatizes the children. Because they feel that there school is not secured, so why should i feel secured in the school. "

Jim McFadzean
"What did you lose?"

Vice Principal: Jones
"This time around we only, all that was taken was a brand new mic that was purchased for the school a five gallon bottle of water and a fan but, previous times they had stolen our school's laptop, two laptops went, a printer went, a whole PA system went, so it's a shock. "

Jim McFadzean
"Some very obscene graffiti were left on the walls, has this been the pattern in the previous break-ins?"

Vice Principal: Jones
"No, this was the first time that we actually had messages left on the wall, one message wrote something like next time leave money with a bad word on it, you know. This was the first time because it wasn't so many stuff of value that was taken, they left those messages on the wall. We are also appealing and asking and begging the public to just keep an eye on the school. We need our schools, this is a public institution and it's a learning institution it's for the children. So we are asking them to please, please help us to keep an eye on the school."

Jones says the school has suffered significant losses as a result of the break-ins, which they estimate to be in the thousands of dollars. The school plans to beef up security after closing hours, but with a limited budget they have yet to determine what type of security will be employed to deter any future break-ins.
