Twenty year old Jerry Horne, who told the court he is a sideman for Bowen and Bowen was charged with keeping 4 rounds of.25 calibre ammunition without a gun license. And for that, he was sentenced to 2 years yesterday in the magistrate's court after he was found guilty of the charge. Horne was also charged with keeping a firearm without a gun license but that charge was withdrawn after the Force Armorer Orlando Vega testified that he tested the firearm and found that it could not fire.

Horne's cousin, Sherman Rodney was charged jointly with him but Rodney was found not guilty. Horne's mother and sister were also charged with the offences but the charges were withdrawn from them on instructions from the Director of Public Prosecutions, Cheryl Lyn Vidal.

The alleged firearm along with 4 rounds of ammunition was found in a metal box when police searched Horne's residence on Gentle Avenue on August 14th, 2010. The box was in a drawer in a room in which Horne and Rodney were sleeping. Detective constable Mannon Dennison testified that Horne told him that the box belonged to him.
