Over last weekend police detailed the report of a home invasion which created quite a stir because it happened in the heart of a residential area. 50 year old ZITA SMALL, an accountant who lives at the Corner of Albert Hoy and Gwen Lizarraga Street, in Belama Phase II, reported that on the afternoon of Wednesday 2nd March, her maid 46 year old DONATILA NAJERA, was working in the house when three dark skinned men, all of them armed with handguns and wearing masks stormed into the house and held up the maid. They then proceeded to steal jewelry and electronics valued at over seven thousand dollars. It was an outrage, and a genuinely frightening event for that quiet residential neighborhood. But it turns out, it was also a vicious lie. Police sensed something was amiss and took Donatila Najera in for questioning. She confessed that she made it all up and conspired with another woman to steal the items. Police press officer Fitzroy Yearwood told us more about how she misled her employer, the police and the public:…

Sergeant Fitzroy Yearwood, Police Press Officer

"After our investigators interviewed her several time she admitted and give a caution statement that in fact it was not a aggravated burglary but a theft that she herself conspired along with Ms. Medina, a friend of hers - a business woman. Our investigations leads us to the recovery of all items except for an iPhone and these women were charge jointly for conspiracy to commit theft, they were charge for theft and Ms. Medina was charge for handling stolen goods. We have all the items right here."

"So she even fooled her employer?"

Sergeant Fitzroy Yearwood, Police Press Officer
"Yes, well Jules for the most part I think she fooled the general public. Members of the public express their concerns on different talk shows for several days and act like this - we will even charge her for mischievous act, making a false report. "

Everything was recovered except a two thousand dollars Iphone 4 - which is valued at two thousand dollars. The women have been charged and are expected to be arraigned tomorrow.
