Last night we told you the story of Donatilla Najera, the Belama Phase Two maid who made up a story that she was in her employer, Zita Small's home when a trio of armed and masked home invaders stormed in and cleaned out the place, taking seven thousand dollars' worth of jewelry and electronic items.

It was a scary story until she admitted that she was actually the thief and it was all a made up story. Today in court the 46 year old pleaded guilty to theft. Because it was her first offence, Magistrate Emmerson Banner ordered her to pay a fine of two thousand dollars and ordered her to pay forthwith or in default serve two years in prison. Najera was unable to pay so she was taken to prison.

Najera was also charged with a mischievous act and conspiracy to commit theft, charges to which she pleaded not guilty. Another woman, 38 year old Sixta Medina was charged along with Najera and additionally charged for handling stolen goods. She pleaded not guilty but was denied bail and remanded until March 18.
