Smoke Grenade Found

There was a grenade scare near the old airport road at 11:20 this morning when an object which looks exactly like a real grenade was found.

It turned out to be only a smoke grenade though, the kind used for training and in military exhibitions. According to Lt. Col. David Jones, it was found at the corner of Scissors tail and Woodpecker Avenue and retrieved by Major James Requena.

It looks like a regular grenade with safety pin and flyoff lever and functions like a real grenade but there is no explosion, only smoke which is harmless. The grenade had not been detonated and Jones says he believes it had been at that spot for many years, as it appears to be very old.
