Last week Friday we told you about a search that was conducted by police on the house of one of their very own, Police Constable - Jamil Scott. The search was conducted as a result of 60 thousand dollars that went missing from the Queen Street police station's exhibit room - an occurrence which police believe Scott may have some involvement in.
The family says the money went missing since last August but now they are constantly being harassed by police. During Friday's search, Constable Jamil Scott's brother - William Scott- was allegedly beaten by police. But the harassment didn't end there; because today the family says the Police was once again back at their home and this time they claim, the cops tried to plant 4 bullets on them. It's a very alarming claim and we spoke to them about it this evening:….
William Scott, Claims Police Harassment

"Two truck full of police and 1 truck of BDF soldiers came. I was inside and they say that they came to check the yard. I say for what, why you all come again for. The officer says that they brought a search warrant. I told them that always bring a search warrant and never read it to anybody. They say don't worry about that because they bring a warrant. But I know that they supposed to read a warrant to a person, but they didn't read it. They only say that they bring it. Two of them told me to follow the police so that they can search the yard. So I follow the police so that they can search the yard. When I see two of them going to search the yard now I see a police and a BDF officer coming behind me. While we were going at the back of the yard now I look back and see them coming behind me. I see this "coolie" descent officer pull something out of his pocket - a black plastic bag and I told him no, don't put that there because you didn't find anything there. That is not in this yard. I told him that ammunitions are not in this yard and the officer asks how did I know that was what they were searching for and I said it's because I already know you guys. I was going out of the yard and me not to go out of the yard. I say to him that I am not going anywhere. That is not a problem. I told the police man not to plant anything here because it does not belong here. One of them was tracing behind the yard, I tried to follow him but then there was this other officer who wanted to come with bullets."

"What was in the plastic bag?"
William Scott, Claims Police Harassment
"4 big bullets. The kind that you would go hunting with. They wanted to put that here and I told them that that was not there."
Monica Bodden
"When you said that, what was their reaction? What was this police officer's reaction?"
William Scott, Claims Police Harassment
"Their action was that how did I know that was not in the yard. I told him that that was not in this yard. They say that they will see what is in the yard now and I told them no and then I walk away from there."
Monica Bodden
"But you saw him pulling out a plastic bag?"
William Scott, Claims Police Harassment
"I saw him pulling it out of his back pocket and I went to him and told him personal that he pull that out of his pocket and I went to a BDF officer and I told him that I know the officer had pull it out of his pocket. The BDF officer only shake his head and smile with me, because they know what they are doing because the want to bust this yard but we don't keep drugs and ammunitions here."
Monica Bodden
"So when they left no one was detain?"
William Scott, Claims Police Harassment
"No one was detain. When they finish their search they went."
Monica Bodden
"Why do you think that you guys are being targeted?"
William Scott, Claims Police Harassment
"We are being targeted because of my mouth, because I told the officers that it is the "big man" they should go deal with who have they key for the place who stole the money."
Monica Bodden
"They are accusing your brother of what?"
William Scott, Claims Police Harassment
"They are accusing my little brother of stealing money from the exhibit room."
Monica Bodden
"How much?"
William Scott, Claims Police Harassment
"$60,000.00, that is what the police man told me."
Monica Bodden
"So that's the reason why they are harassing you?"
William Scott, Claims Police Harassment
"Yes, that's the reason why they are harassing my family right now. I am not into this harassment here."
Monica Bodden
"You know anything about the money?"
William Scott, Claims Police Harassment
"I don't know anything about any money. We don't know anything about any money."
Police Constable Jamil Scott has been moved from the exhibit room and is currently working at a police substation on Fabers Road.
