Full Details On Prison Van Turnover

The full details are known tonight about that traffic accident we told you about on Friday night involving a prison van heading from Orange Walk to the Central Prison at Hattieville.

At 2:00 pm, Police constable Kevin Clare was driving the van transporting 12 prisoners when between miles 36 and 37, he experienced blowouts to both rear wheels and the front driver's side wheel causing the van to flip over several times. Prison Warden 46 year old DELBERT McLAUGHLIN was killed by head and body injuries while prisoners Dean Davis and Cirspin Moreno received back injuries.

The ten other prisoners received minor injuries and were treated and released into Police custody. A Post Mortem confirmed that Mclaughlin died from massive internal injuries.
