In July of last year, Charles McKoy was accused of shooting up a car at the light on Freetown Road, injuring its four passengers and killing one of them, Alexander Murray.
But today in court at the conclusion of a preliminary investigation, his attorney Dickie Bradley argued that there was no link established between his client and the shooting.
Chief Magistrate Margaret McKenzie upheld Bradley's submission and dismissed the charge against McKoy. Still, two charges of aggravated assault remain for shot allegedly fired on two other persons who were in the car with Murray.
He was released on bail of five thousand dollars.
