Two men 27 year old Brandon Tillett and 26 year old Knox Cumberbatch, charged with the attempted murder of 22 year old Elton Bradley, were acquitted of the charge today in the court of Justice Adolph Lucas.

The prosecution, represented by Crown Counsel Sharmila Williams, closed its case after Bradley took the witness stand and testified that he could not recall all that had occurred around 10p.m on May 29, 2009, when he was shot multiple times on Bishop Street.

Bradley said his assailants wore masks and were on bicycles and he did not see their faces.

With the prosecution having no further evidence to offer, Justice Lucas directed the jury of 7 women and 2 men to return formal verdicts of not guilty for each accused. Tillett and Cumberbatch were not represented by an attorney.
