And in the weekend's other city shooting, on Saturday night at 10:30, 18 year old Stephan Flowers was shot in the abdomen as he rode on Mopan Street towards Sibun Street - which is near the Civic Center.
Flowers was with another man, Ian Henkis on bicycle when a pair of shooters - also on bike rode up from behind and opened fire. Only flowers was hit and police say he managed to get all the way across the canal to Courtney Crescenet where he collapsed in some bushes. Police recovered a prohibited, high-powered handgun nearby on Sarstoon street, a.45 Colt Pistol with an extended clip. Flowers is in a stable condition at the KHMH - and his family refused to talk to us.
According to our records, he got off an attempted murder charge in June of this year, when the witness refused to testify.
