Twenty five year old auto mechanic Charles McKoy, who beat a murder charge about 2 months ago, was freed of two charges of aggravated assault with a firearm today in the Magistrate's Court.

After the prosecution closed its case McKoy's attorney, Dickie Bradley submitted that his client does not have a case to answer. Bradley said one of the complainants Glenford Martinez did not testify in court and the other complainant, Michael Stevens did not identify McKoy in court as the person who committed the aggravated assault on him.

Bradley also said that Stevens testified that the firearm that he was assaulted with was a 9 millimetre pistol and that it was chrome and shiny. But the firearm that was tendered as exhibit was a black.380 pistol.

In addition the date of occurrence of the incident on one count book was June 24 while the actual date of occurrence of the incident was July 24, 2010. Magistrate Robert Ordonez upheld the no case submission and dismissed the charges.
