There was a hit and run accident last night at mile two and a half on the northern highway - in front of the Ramon Esso Coral Grove Gas Station. It happened a little after 9. Reports are that 29 year old Robert Castro better known as -Baba Boo- was riding his bicycle across the highway when his bike chain slipped. While he was trying to fix it on the median, a vehicle hit him from behind - killing him almost instantly. Today 7news spoke to his sister - who told us she wants justice.

Sherlet Gabourel, sister
"Well the security and the people that were out there said that he was riding his bike. Like I said he went to drop off my son at my sister's house, and when he was on his way back, from my sister's house, the bicycle chain fell off. He then bent down to fix the chain when a vehicle came at full speed and just bounced him and speed off. It was a hit and run, and the driver did not even have the heart, to come back and check on him to see what had happened. The vehicle just speed off. Cameras are out there, there are like four cameras that recorded what had happened. We want justice, who so ever saw what happened or anyone knows, come out and say

something. Because this young man is a not a harmful young man, he always hangs out by Lee Chee or by the gas station, everyone knows him as Baba boo, but the man did not even turned back. It's like a dog he knocked down and he is not a dog, we are his family and we love him - we feel it. I don't know this violence will stop, this has to stop. The Minister has to look into those things, because a lot of people are crying right now, people are feeling it inside maybe he does not feel it but we feel it, we the family feel it."
