Two persons, a 17 year old boy who is remanded on a charge of Murder and 19 year old Clement Bol, Jr. were found guilty of Robbery and Harm today in the Magistrate's Court.

Because they had no previous convictions, Magistrate Emmerson Banner did not give them a custodial sentence. Instead he fined each of them $5,000 for Robbery and $500 for Harm. He ordered them to pay half the money by September 30th and the balance by October 15th. If they default on payment they will serve 5 years imprisonment.

The incident occurred around 9pm on September 8, 2010. The Complainant, Christopher Pitts, testified that he was on his way home from his workplace, Bowen and Bowen and had almost reached his house when he was accosted by 4 men. Pitts said one of the men put a pistol to his head and they stole his jewelry, his cell phone and $250 in cash.

Pitts said he pursued the robbers and the gunman fired a shot at him but missed. Pitts said they all got into a car and sped away.

Bol testified and said he don't know anything about the incident because at the time he was at his girlfriend's house. Bol's father and mother testified on his behalf but their testimony did not do anything to help his case.

The minor testified and claimed that at the time of the incident he was at home watching television. The minor's mother testified that and corroborated his alibi testimony.

But Pitts positively identified Bol and the minor as the two persons who robbed him and injured him
