Nineteen year old Tevin Abraham, was serving a sentence for 6yrs for robbery, was sentenced to 4yrs today in the magistrate's court after he pleaded guilty to 2 counts of handling stolen goods. Magistrate Emmerson Banner sentenced Abraham to 2 yrs for each count with th stipulation that the sentences are to run concurrently, as Abraham will only serve 2yrs. The stolen goods that Abraham handled were a gold chain and a cell phone that were stolen from two gas attendants, Earl Hamilton and Horris Santos, during a robbery of Esso on wood st,, which occurred on April 24th, 2011. Hamilton and Santos were robbed at gunpoint by two persons. The gold chain belonged to Hamilton and the cell phone was Santo's property. On May 2nd the police recovered the gold chain from Abraham's girlfriend and the cell phone from Abraham. Abraham had exchanged the gold chain with his girlfriend with one she had. Abraham had appealed the sentence of 6yrs for the robbery but his appeal was dismissed.
