Sixteen-year-old Justin Teck remains in a critical condition at the KHMH tonight after he was shot in the head yesterday.

The high school student was shot to the back of the head at close range as he rode his bicycle on Freetown Road yesterday. Initial reports from eyewitnesses had said he was shot twice to the head but tonight, police report that a single shot entered the back of his head and exited through his temple. The gunman who was on bicycle fired three shots at the teenager.

It happened at almost exactly midday at a crowded intersection. Multiple eyewitnesses have given police a description of the shooter - but that suspect remains at large tonight.

Street sources say that Teck was shot because he is from Hunter's Lane which is connected to Kelly Street - and the shooting may have been an act of retaliation for the Independence Day murder of 9 year-old Joshua Abraham.
