19 year-old Giovanni Ramos, a bus conductor from Ladyville, is in jail tonight because he is accused of the carnal knowledge of a 13 year-old female.
The minor reported to police that the incident took place on July 3, 2012 at around 7:30 p.m. Ramos who reportedly interacted with the minor regularly when she caught his bus, allegedly took her to a house on Dean Street and had intercourse with her.
A doctor certified that the minor was carnally known, and as a result, police began to investigation.
Today, he was taken before Senior Magistrate Sharon Frazer, where he was arraigned on a single count of carnal knowledge.
Because the offence is an indictable one, no plea was taken, and Ramos was remanded to prison until October 2, his next court date.
