For the past 5 days, law enforcement representatives from Caribbean nations have been in Belize. They were here to participate in a training referred to as Phase 2 of the Interpol Cybercrime Capacity Building Project in the Americas.
The experts from Interpol have introduced the Caribbean cops to results-oriented techniques to detect and interdict predators engaging in the online sexual exploitation of children.
The cops say that with the advancement of technology and the increasing ease of access to the internet, pedophiles are getting better at hiding their crimes against children. And so, Interpol wanted to share their knowledge and experience on how to police these types of offenses.
