So, four city murders in 72 hours - all since the curfew ended. Is it a suggesting that the police can't contain crime without a curfew?

Well, the Commissioner says it's not that; it's the fact that critical operational unites were re-deployed to the Columbia Forest to look for PC Ical - and while they were away, the criminals were at play. And, to them Compol Williams waves the one stick bigger than the curfew, and that is, the Southside state of emergency:

Chester Williams - Commissioner of Police
"For the past week or so, we had been extremely busy trying to locate PC Ical. And so, many of the human resources that we would normally use in Belize City to be able to deal with the anti-gang operations were extracted out of Belize City and were placed in the jungle to search for PC Ical. Now that the search for Ical is over, we can now go back and concentrate our effort in Belize City, to see how we can deal with the gang issue. But, may I say, there are certain things that is being done currently. And, I guess some people have shown that they are not capable of living amongst people. So, you know what is going to happen, right? I say no more."

"The State of Emergency for Southside still continues, right?"

Chester Williams
"I said I say no more."
