US National Who Abducted Son Caught In Belize

44-year-old US national Jadiel Rojas has been arrested in Belize for charges of immigration offenses.

Rojas, who is originally from Cuba was living with his sixteen-year-old son in the Sabido Layout area of San Ignacio. He'd reportedly been wanted in the US for the boy's kidnapping in 2018.

Closer examination of the pair's American passports revealed that they'd last been updated in October of 2018 and that they'd in fact been living in Belize illegally.

Rojas's son has been turned over to the Ministry of Human Development and the US Embassy has been contacted.
