And, it's also not uncommon for outbreaks to happen in meat plants and medical facilities. We've already seen it at Caribbean Chicken and, more recently, the Belize specialists' Hospital.
And, today, Manzanero disclosed that they are now looking at another poultry plant and private hospital:
Dr. Marvin Manzanero, DHS "There are a couple more cases at the private facility in Belize City, I don't have full the report on that but I do know that a couple of other cases have appeared at a private facility in Belize City. Allegations that another chicken producer may be experiencing a spread of cluster, any truth to this? We are aware of one case from a production facility in Spanish Lookout that was documented for us on Tuesday and the team immediately went in and do an investigation, we did not find any other person that was symptomatic or that there would be a potential cluster at that particular facility."
