Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
"This happened last week in Belize City where a young man reported that he was driving on the George Price Highway and when reaching the mile four check point he was stopped by two police officers who were working there. He didn't have his driver's license with him. He was asked to produce it and he couldn't and based on that the officers extorted two hundred dollars from him. He called me as it occurred. I got professional standard branch in the picture and that led to the arrest of two police officers; WPC Anthony and PC Sambula. They were charged with extortion. They went to court last week and received bail and are now on interdiction."
