Man Charged For Shopkeeper's Murder

3 weeks ago we told you about the murder of 53-year-old Maya Mopan shopkeeper Abel Bardalez, a father and shopkeeper who bravely fought an armed robber but lost his life in the struggle.

At the time Bardalez's son, Hershel told us that his dad went down as the warrior he'd always been, fighting to protect his young daughter from the assailant's weapon.

And tonight we can report that the family, while still in mourning, is at least one step closer to justice for their father. That's because Bardalez's alleged murderer has finally been found, he's 34 year old Leroy Anthony Richards, a Carpenter from Ontario village

Richards will be remanded to the Belize Central Prison to await trial.
