$436,906.34 - that's how much the former general manager of La Inmaculada Credit Union must pay after a judgement was delivered by Chief Justice Arana.

To summarize the chain of events, back in 2015, Yolanda Gomez took LICU to court for unfair dismissal after 24 years of service. But an audit revealed that Gomez mishandled almost half a million dollars during her tenure, which led the board of directors to file a countersuit against Gomez on multiple offenses including fraud, forgery, unauthorized use of corporate credit card, and more.

And it is not until six years later that the ruling has finally been made. According to a press release from LICU, she has been ordered to repay over 430,000 dollars in damages and legal cost to be determined. She can still appeal the judgement.
