Police are also making the late evening announcement that they have arrested and charged a 17-year-old male minor for the murder of 24-year-old Percival Pilgrim. He was shot on Tuesday afternoon and died early Wednesday morning.

That minor will also face an aggravated assault charge for the second victim, a teenager who was injured in the attack. As we told you, Pilgrim and his friend were headed toward the Lakeview area when they were approached by two men who shot at them.

Pilgrim's friend was only grazed, but he was shot to the head and left for dead in the middle of the street.

And while you might want to applaud the swift arrest, the Mayflower street family of the 17-year-old is incensed by this arrest because they say, he was in his home when Pilgrim and his friend were shot. This afternoon, they called us to complain that police have charged the wrong person:

As you heard, this family member is suggesting that there is a major rift in what is known as the Ghost Town Gang, and that prominent figures are allegedly behind the arrest of the 17-year-old.
